An agency service that connects your ads and website

Start with customer intent

We identify the services you want to promote and the searches that suggest someone is ready to call, book or request a quote.

Match the message to the page

We connect service-focused ads with suitable pages on your managed website, so visitors can find the information they expected.

Review what matters

We review spending, available search terms and tracked enquiries each month, then make minor changes and explain the next priorities.

What are your customers really searching for?

A broad term can hide several different needs. We look at the service, location and purpose behind a search before deciding whether it belongs in your campaign.

Ready to enquire

“emergency plumber Richmond” suggests a specific service and location. A relevant ad should lead to a page that explains that service and how to get in touch.

Comparing options

Searches about repair costs, availability or quotes may need clear pricing guidance and service details before someone makes contact.

Looking for something else

Jobs, courses, free tools and DIY searches may be unsuitable for a service campaign. Negative keywords help filter unrelated intent.

These are illustrative search patterns, not measured keyword volumes or guaranteed lead opportunities. We research the fit for your business before launch.

Google Ads FAQs for Melbourne businesses

Costs, search intent, tracking and what this add-on covers.

Talk about your campaign
How much does Google Ads management cost in Melbourne?

Our website-plan add-on costs $249 upfront for setup and $99/month for management. Your website plan continues separately. Your advertising spend is additional and paid directly to Google. We confirm the full quote, including any applicable GST, before work starts.

Can I buy this service without a website plan?

This package is an add-on to an active Web Design Studio Melbourne website plan. Existing clients can add it to their plan. New clients can choose a website plan and discuss Google Ads during onboarding. See our website plans for the starting options.

What is included in the $249 Google Ads setup?

We build one local Google Search campaign with up to five related service ad groups. Setup includes keyword research, one responsive search ad per ad group, initial negative keywords, location and budget settings, relevant ad assets and standard enquiry tracking where supported. We check suitable existing website pages and ask you to approve the campaign before launch.

What does the $99 monthly management fee include?

One scheduled monthly review covers spending, available search-term data, ads and tracked enquiries. We make minor keyword, negative-keyword, ad or bidding adjustments where needed and provide a short performance summary. This is a focused campaign service; additional campaigns, major rebuilds and complex tracking are quoted separately.

Is the $99 monthly fee my Google advertising budget?

No. The $99 is our management fee. Google charges your advertising spend separately through your own account. For example, a $300 advertising budget plus $99 management costs $399 for the month, before your website plan, any applicable GST and the one-off setup fee in the first month. This example is not a recommended budget.

How much should a small business spend on Google Ads?

A useful starting budget depends on competition, service area, likely click costs and the value of an enquiry. We review those factors with you before setup. A narrow service focus may suit a smaller budget. We explain if the available budget is unlikely to produce enough useful data; there is no single budget that suits every business.

How do you choose keywords people actually search for?

We start with your services, customer questions and service areas, then use available keyword-planning data to assess relevance and likely costs. We separate searches that suggest someone wants a quote from research, jobs or training searches. Once ads run, available search-term data helps us refine the campaign. Examples on this page illustrate intent; they are not verified search-volume claims.

What are long-tail keywords, and do they bring better leads?

Long-tail keywords describe a more specific need, such as “emergency plumber Richmond” rather than a broad service term. Specific searches can make the service, location or urgency clearer, but they do not guarantee cheaper clicks or better leads. We consider intent and available demand rather than adding long phrases just to fill a keyword list.

Can you target customers near me or in specific suburbs?

We agree on the locations you genuinely serve across Melbourne suburbs. We review location settings to focus on the intended audience and exclude unsuitable areas where appropriate. “Near me” searches can show local intent without naming a suburb. Location targeting uses Google’s signals and is not a precise boundary guarantee.

How do negative keywords stop irrelevant clicks?

Negative keywords help exclude searches that do not suit your offer. A local repair business may want to exclude jobs, courses or DIY instructions. We choose exclusions carefully so they do not block useful customers, then review available search terms during monthly checks. Exclusions reduce avoidable waste but cannot prevent every irrelevant click.

What is the difference between keywords and search terms?

Keywords are the targeting terms we add to an ad group. Search terms are the queries people actually enter. Match types and related intent can lead to ads appearing for queries beyond the exact wording of a keyword. Google does not expose every query, so reviews use the search-term data available in your account.

Should each service have its own ad group and landing page?

Related keywords and ads belong in a service-focused ad group. A plumber might separate blocked drains, hot water and tap repairs within one campaign. The ad should link to a suitable service page that answers the search. We include up to five ad groups, but may recommend fewer when budget or demand is limited.

Do I need a new landing page for Google Ads?

We first review your existing pages for service relevance, clear contact options and useful information. New landing pages, substantial copy changes and major website updates are quoted separately or handled within the agreed scope of your website plan. We explain any recommended work before proceeding.

Can you track phone calls, forms and actual enquiries?

We set up standard conversion tracking where your website and account support it. This can include successful form submissions and supported call conversions. A phone-link click is not proof that a call happened, and a form submission is not automatically a qualified lead. Paid call-tracking tools, CRM integrations and complex tracking require a separate quote.

How will I know whether my Google Ads campaign is working?

We review spend and tracked enquiries alongside clicks and available search terms. Where data supports it, we calculate cost per tracked enquiry. Your feedback helps distinguish useful leads from spam or unsuitable requests. We focus on business outcomes and explain tracking gaps rather than treating more traffic as proof of success.

Is Google Ads better than SEO for a local business?

They serve different purposes. Google Ads buys search visibility while a campaign is eligible and funded. Local SEO improves your organic website and local search presence over time. Advertising does not buy higher organic rankings. You can add this service to a website + SEO plan and review the two channels together.

How soon can my Google Search ads start?

We need your brief, account access, Google billing setup, suitable pages and your approval. Google reviews ads before they can run, and approval timing varies. We confirm an expected launch window after reviewing the requirements. Early clicks do not guarantee immediate enquiries or sales.

Do I own my Google Ads account and campaign data?

Yes. Your account stays in your name, you retain access and you pay Google directly. We request the access needed to manage the campaign. If management ends, you keep the account and its campaign history. Do not send passwords through the enquiry form.

Can you manage an existing Google Ads campaign?

We can review your account before confirming whether it fits this package. A suitable local Search campaign may be brought into the agreed scope. Multiple campaigns, a major rebuild or complex tracking can require separate work. We confirm that scope before charging for setup.

Does this package include Shopping, Display or Performance Max?

The advertised package covers one local Google Search campaign. Shopping feeds, Display, YouTube, Performance Max, remarketing and additional campaigns are outside this scope. We discuss your goals first and explain whether a different service is needed.

Can I pause my advertising or cancel management?

Tell us when you need to pause advertising so we can discuss stopping campaign spend. Pausing Google spend does not automatically cancel the management add-on or your website plan. We confirm the management cancellation terms in your service agreement before you start.

Do you guarantee leads, sales or a first position on Google?

No. Auction competition, budget, demand, your offer and website all affect performance. Google also applies its advertising policies and review process. We do not guarantee a position, lead count, sales result or cost per lead. We agree on useful measures and explain what the data can support.
